Pale whitish-grey thallus, lobes without pseudocyphellae (but older parts of thallus may have very indistinct pseudocyphellae). Apothecia chestnut-brown to dark-brown. Small lobules sometimes present on lobes and apothecia margins. Occurs on twigs and branches of semi-shaded or well-lit trees. Cortex: K+ yellow. Medulla: K- Similar: P. aipolia. Pseudocyphellae present. Medulla K+ yellow |
