The pale grey, smooth or slightly granular thallus usually immersed, apothecia often in small groups. Discs whitish or greyish pruinose with well-developed, persistent, deep and regularly crenate margins.

Occurs on hard limestone rocks, calcareous monuments, walls and mortar. Chemical results and UV negative

Member of the Myriolecis dispersa (Lecanora dispersa) group.
Similar: M. antiqua (L. antiqua), pruinose apothecia C+ orange.
