Species: Bacidia delicata Photos: On Box twigs and leaves. Ballingeary area, Co. Cork, SW Ireland. Specimen identified by John Douglass Wide-spreading leprose thallus, pale green to fawn, thin and finely granular. Apothecia rare, discs pale pink, hypothecium colourless. White pycnidia, +/- immersed. Often sterile. Widespread but probably overlooked on shaded urban stonework, +/- calcareous rocks, mosses and basic bark. Chemical reactions negative |
