Species: Candelariella reflexa Photos: Macroom, Co. Cork, SW Ireland. Small yellow or yellowish-green granules or minute squamules that are scattered or +/- contiguous. Bright yellow soredia that can form continuous crust. Apothecia very rare. Occurs on nutrient-enriched tree trunks and branches and at tree bases in 'canine zone'. Chemical reaction K- Similar: C. vitellina, soredia absent. Caloplaca citrina, K+ crimson |
