Identification confirmed by Mike Simms Very small, bushy, blackish thallus, less than 5mm high. Many rounded branches, spherical apothecia on tips. Forms dense mats. On well-lit sheltered coastal rocks above high water mark. Chemical reations negative. Very similar: L. pygmaea. Larger, occurs below HWM
